Strengthening Alcohol Policy Advocacy and Harm Prevention and Reduction for a Healthier Nigeria
The Association of Advocates Against Alcohol Harm in Nigeria (ASAAHN) is a coalition of CSOs whose objective is to advocate for the adoption and implementation of alcohol policy in Nigeria.
The conference brings together government representatives, public health experts, youth advocates, and media professionals to strengthen national advocacy for effective alcohol policy, highlight the growing burden of alcohol harm, and chart strategies for protecting the health and wellbeing of Nigerians.
The three-hour program features a keynote address on the conference theme of preventing and reducing harm through alcohol policy, a presentation by Movendi International on global best practices and lessons for Nigeria, and two interactive panel sessions on youth exposure to alcohol and the role of media and advocacy in shaping policy action.
Through dialogue, partnership, and shared commitment, this landmark event aims to advance a healthier, safer, and more sustainable Nigeria.
