The Importance of Drug Prevention in Era of Cannabis Deregulation
As part of the 63rd Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, this side event is organized in the form of a panel discussion, in collaboration of Movendi International and the Republic of Slovenia as well as the Republic of Chile.
Event description
This side event will focus on sharing and discussing the experiences from different countries concerning effective and evidence-based drug prevention.
This side event will explore ways forward to scale up and make evidence-based preventive programmes and initiatives available in more countries and communities and to stimulate action on implementation.
The event will foster a conversation about the role of prevention programmes in the context of cannabis deregulation. In parallel the event will explore the ways of how deregulation processes are influencing the implementation of prevention programmes.
