What the virtual event is about
Every other month, Movendi International invites members to join an online exchange and capacity-building webinar focused on key topics in alcohol policy, advocacy, and community engagement.
This webinar will highlight community-driven action in shaping alcohol-free norms. From grassroots activities to nationwide campaigns and international mobilisation, members will share their experiences, lessons learned, and creative strategies to inspire alcohol-free way of life and challenge the alcohol norm.
Purpose:
- Spotlight inspiring stories and experiences from members who have promoted alcohol-free initiatives through community campaigns, cultural initiatives, or public events.
- Exchange ideas and learn from each other about what works in different contexts to engage people and replacing the alcohol norm with healthier social norms.
- Encourage collaboration and planning for World Alcohol-Free Day 2025, including messaging, mobilisation tools, and outreach strategies.
- Strengthen community engagement by highlighting the shared values and collective energy behind alcohol-free initiatives.

- Maik Dünnbier (Movendi International) – A short analysis tying together lessons and trends from the movement.
Global Conversation: A roundtable that will explore the opportunities and challenges of launching alcohol-free initiatives in their countries – and how we can support each other, with:
