Every month, Movendi International invites all members for an online capacity building and exchange webinar and virtual discussion on our key topics.
This time we are excited to spotlight the experiences of our member organizations in documenting, exposing, and countering the alcohol industry.
Exposing and counteracting Big Alcohol is essential for safeguarding public health, protecting vulnerable populations, and ensuring that evidence-based policies prevail over corporate interests. It is a vital step towards building healthier communities and reducing the negative impact of alcohol on societies worldwide.
Thus, we will provide space for all our members to hear about some successful experiences and projects in exposing the alcohol industry in Brazil, learn from the experience of Kenya in counteracting the tobacco industry and get to know the WHP WPRO initiative.
At the same time, we would like to present and relaunch the Big Alcohol Exposed initiative, which aims to document, expose and counter act the unethical practices of the alcohol industry.
This webinar is open to anyone passionate about creating positive change in public health, community well-being, and advocacy for evidence-based policies. Participants may include health professionals, community leaders, activists, and individuals interested in countering the negative impact of this industry.
