Graceful Youth Recovery Centre is a Community Based Organisation in Kiambu County, Kenya. The core objective of the organisation is promotion of an alcohol-free and drug-free community.
This is achieved by creating awareness on the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs, promoting prevention, promoting sober living by conducting awareness talks in the community, in schools, tertiary institutions, churches and offices.
Graceful Youth Recovery Centre Cbo helps the community members – men, women and children in desperate situations (among others: commercial sex workers and people in recovery) by connecting them with professionals in that field. Graceful Youth Recovery Centre Cbo works with volunteer counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and mental health experts to offer professional services. The organization provides food, water and clothing to the people in need. A future plan is to set up a drop-in center, and a residential rescue center where people can access information and programmes that promote alcohol and other drugs’ prevention, support and recovery.
