Position: Visual Communications Specialist 

We are seeking a creative Communications Specialist with a strong focus on visual presentation and passion for health advocacy, alcohol industry accountability, and societal change to join our team. This position is based remotely. The role will support our global communication efforts to deliver visually compelling content that reflects our mission, enhances our work, and engages our global audience. You will be the creative force behind our presentation. The Communications Specialist reports to the President and/or Executive Director of Movendi International and collaborates closely with the whole team to ensure that our activities, monitoring, and insights reach the widest possible audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visual Content Creation: Create and produce high-quality visual content for digital platforms, print, reports, and presentations that enhance our advocacy work
  • Brand Development: Ensure consistent brand identity across all visual materials, while continually evolving designs to resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Digital Media Management: Manage and grow our social media presence, aligning visual content with our strategic goals.
  • Campaign Support: Support advocacy campaigns by creating impactful visuals, such as infographics, videos, and other tools that effectively communicate our message.
  • Partner and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with international organizations and civil society partners to develop effective visual communication strategies for advancing alcohol policy advocacy..
  • Media Support: Assist in designing visual content for media releases, events, and campaigns, ensuring that all communications are visually engaging and aligned with Movendi International’s values.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: 
    • 3+ years of experience in visual communications, graphic design, or related roles.
    • Demonstrated ability to create compelling visual content across digital and print platforms.
    • Experience working with diverse audiences and crafting messages that resonate with various stakeholders
    • Experience with non-profit organizations or advocacy work is a plus.
  • Skills: 
    • Proficiency in visual content creation (graphic design, video editing, etc.) and experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
    •  Strong understanding of visual storytelling, branding, and user engagement.
    •  Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an international team in a fast-paced environment
    • Creative thinking with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Tech Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with video editing, digital marketing tools, and web design is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing best practices.

Working Conditions  

This is a remote or Stockholm-based position (full-time or part-time). Compensation is based on the non-profit sector salary scale in the employee’s country of residence.
