2017 National Conference On Alcohol And Opioid Use In Women And Girls
Description
The Conference is being organized by National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the Women, Drinking, and Pregnancy Work Group of the Interagency Coordinating Committee on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
Purpose
A national conference to:
- Disseminate findings from the latest research on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of alcohol and other substance misuse among girls and women, including strategies to prevent HIV infection/progression and substance-exposed pregnancies
- Publicize pertinent information from Facing Addiction in America: The Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health Develop a coalition of stakeholder organizations and researchers to develop a blueprint for a coordinated public-private response to epidemic substance misuse among women and girls
