Short biography
Adis is a professional youth worker for more than 20 years with degree from the University of Jonkoping, Sweden.
He has been active in the field of youth activism and alcohol prevention programs among youth in the Balkan region for over 20 years, working on different programs with various target groups such as women, underage delinquency, refugees, government institutions and media.
Until 2004, Adis has been involved in the Swedish NGO Proni Institute for social education, working on conflict resolution in post-war Balkans.
From 2004 to 2010 he worked in Forum Syd Balkans on youth networking and development of civil society organizations in the area of the Balkans.
Ever since then, Adis is working with the Center for Youth Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, working directly on prevention programs tackling alcohol use and alcohol availability, and also working on advocacy level for the development of the first alcohol control act in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In last 7 years Adis has worked on facilitating networking of individuals and civil society organizations that deal with substance use prevention programs in order to create a joint action for change within the wider Balkan region.
Adis serves as a member of the Movendi International board since 2014. Adis is our expert for alcohol policy in South-Eastern Europe, including protection and promotion of adolescent health and youth rights.
