Advanced Youth School of Health Policy and Advocacy on Alcohol Control and Prevention

In light of high levels of alcohol harm, especially affecting European youth, YHO with Movendi International, Eurocare and with support from WHO European Region will be organizing a multi day workshop for youth, focusing on empowering young leaders  on the topic of Alcohol Policy Advocacy. This advanced edition of our original advocacy school will focus on bringing the youth  voices to European decision makers. Through this activity the participants will be able to build on their lobbying, advocacy and policy- writing skills, as well as putting them into action through organized meetings and dialogue with high-level stakeholders and decision makers in Brussels.

The objectives of the activity are:

• To empower 20 youth advocates in the field of European health policy and advocacy.
• To bring and elevate 20 young voices to the decision making table by organising at least 2 opportunities to interact with decision makers and influence their stance on health policy.
• To try and influence existing European health policy through youth perspective and be a part of a larger advocacy process to improve relevant health policies.
