Draw Your Life Youth Exchange
22 young people from IOGT International Member Organizations in Estonia, Germany, Russia and Iceland gather in Reykjavik, Iceland for a week of non-formal education, youth empowerment and fun in safe and enabling environments.
The purpose of the event is to teach young people to draw their own comics about a lifestyle free from alcohol and other drugs – and in this way empower youth creatively to make healthy choices.
Objectives of the Draw Your Life youth exchange
- To share context, ideas, resources and outcomes of best practice youth activities promoting a lifestyle free from alcohol and other drugs
- To discover comics as a way to promote active and sober lifestyle
- To improve storytelling skills
- To encourage the use of art for promoting social causes.
This exchange will be about learning-by-doing in an enabling environment – for young people, by young people. And it will be a space for meeting people from different parts of Europe.
The event is organized by IOGT International Member Organization Núll Prósent Iceland under the Erasmus+ program.
