Non-formal Education for all, for democracy
2012 theme of the International Day of Democracy:
Democracy Education IOGT International works heart-driven, through all its experts in the communities all over the world to involve people, through the means of non-formal and informal education. This is for us a powerful tool to empower human beings and their self-esteem, give them the tools based on their needs to change their communities and be active citizens. We do what UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon encourages all to do: “In marking this year’s International Day of Democracy, let us … work to bring democracy education to all…”.
