PREVENTION MATTERS CONFERENCE 2015 – PREVENTION MATTERS FOR CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES

Purpose:

Prevention Matters 2015 will provide opportunities to explore primary prevention efforts and support the health of Saskatchewan children.

The conference will highlight environmental and societal factors that positively influence the health and health behaviours of children and families.

Objectives:

1. Identify the primary prevention efforts that impact health during the preconception, prenatal, and perinatal periods, and early childhood.
2. Examine current research and programming that impacts the health of children, families, and communities.
3. Identify how communities can share information and influence policy.
4. Explore ways for individuals and communities to collaborate in creating environments for lifelong health.
5. Develop new contacts in the field of prevention and health.
