Taking Stock of the Children’s Rights and Business Principles

Held in collaboration with the World Child and Youth Forum, this event will take stock of the Children’s Rights and Business Principles for the first time since they were launched in March 2012. This high-level event, which will be hosted by the Royal Family of Sweden, will provide an opportunity to review recent developments in the past year, as well as reflect on some of the key challenges and opportunities that companies and other stakeholders face when implementing the Principles. The three organizations that developed the Principles – the Global Compact, UNICEF and Save the Children – will also host a consultation session in the afternoon as part of a broader consultation with stakeholders to explore how the Principles can be used as a tool to scale-up efforts to respect and support children’s rights. Participation is by invitation only.
