Movendi Sweden, the European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA), and Movendi International will host the launch of the 2026 Alcohol & Society research report, focusing on binge alcohol use and its acute and long-term consequences for individuals, public health, and society.
The event will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, co-hosted by MEP Jonas Sjöstedt (The Left).

The 2026 research report “Binge drinking - acute consequences and lasting impacts” sheds light on how heavy alcohol consumption affects individuals, communities, and health systems across Europe. The launch brings together research, policy perspectives, and civil society voices to discuss what effective prevention looks like - and how the EU can act to prevent avoidable harm.
