WHO SAFER Package to Implement the WHO Global Alcohol Strategy

On Wednesday, November 18, join PAHO for a new session of the Alcohol and Health webinar series, titled “WHO SAFER package to implement the Global Alcohol Strategy.”

In this webinar, the WHO SAFER initiative will be presented and discussed from a regional perspective. Presenters will cover information on,

1. the regional situation related to alcohol consumption, harms and policies;
2. the key elements of the WHO SAFER technical package and initiative;
3. the role of the alcohol industry and actions needed to prevent industry interference in policy making; and
4. the role of civil society in advocacy and how they can contribute to global and regional efforts to reduce alcohol harm.
