This event is organized by the Global Health Hub Germany to present to key stakeholders the central focus areas in global health within the German G7 program and to explore the opportunities the G7 presidency offers in advancing these issues.

About
On the 1st of January 2022, Germany took over the G7 presidency from its predecessor the UK. With the start of the presidency, Germany sets ambitious goals in advancing Global Health as one of the key themes of the German presidency.
Under the German Federal Ministry of Health as the leading ministry in Global Health, the following areas will be in focus throughout this year:
- Ending the Covid-19 pandemic,
- Tackling the threat posed by antimicrobial resistance
- Climate and health
To present the central focus areas in global health within the German G7 program and to explore the opportunities the G7 presidency offers in advancing these issues, the Global Health Hub Germany has invited State Secretary, Dr. Thomas Steffen of the German Federal Ministry of Health and representatives of the Engagement Groups, to share their vision on the German G7 Presidency 2022.
