Supporting children to grow up healthy and safe

Every parent loves their children and want their best. In the basic formal education, we usually do not learn how to bring up children so they grow into healthy and safe humans. Movendi International’s Child Rights Core Group has prepared an interactive session for all who want to support adults in their endeavour to raise children who thrive.
The session is centered around social and emotional learning – an evidence-based and science driven prevention. There are various methods, approaches and campaigns to raise awareness and improve skills at social and emotional learning. One of them is “Listen First” – a comprehensive approach that informs parenting and caregiving around the world. During a 90 minutes session, you will learn more about the importance and the latest developments in the area of social and emotional learning. We have invited one of the leading experts and practitioners in this field: Sanela Talic from UTRIP Slovenia.

In the next part of the webinar, Jenny Roston Lundström, consultant at UNODC will introduce Listen First. A Campaign created by UNODC, building on needs and experiences of children and youth.

After the input from the two guest speakers, we will create an interactive space for all participants to discuss about and reflect on the presentations.
