Webinar: Child Rights’ Perspective on Banning Alcohol Advertising

Movendi Child Rights group conducts a series of webinars that look at SAFER from the Child Rights Perspective. We have addressed the three firsts interventions in February, April and May 2023 and now it is time to look closer at the fourth solution: “Enforce bans or comprehensive restrictions on alcohol advertising, sponsorship, and promotion”

Bans and comprehensive restrictions on alcohol advertising, sponsorship and promotion are impactful and cost-effective measures. Enacting and enforcing bans or comprehensive restrictions on exposure to them in the digital world will bring public health benefits and help protect children, adolescents and abstainers from the pressure to start consuming alcohol.

For this occasion, we will have the participation of Árni Guðmundsson, adjunt lecturer from the University of Iceland, focusing his presentation on prevention on marketing.
